I need to stick to what I know. Flowers, and naps, and over-sharing about my life on the internet. Last night I tried to outdo myself and imitate the wonderful Donna Hay in the kitchen. It looked simple and easy enough for a novice like Moi, but after adding another oven burn to my arm of existing oven burns I reconfirmed my inability to cook and walked away…to the fridge, to get some salted caramel ice-cream and sit on the couch to watch Masterchef (if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em).

I’m getting all the rest and sitting in silence time in that I can because this weekend, Tim and I are doing our first overnight babysitting duties for our niece. For her sake I hope I’m better at being a babysitter than I am at being a cook. A park date has been arranged, a pixar film has been picked, and packet pancake mix has been purchased for Sunday morning, where I will watch on from a far at all the fun being had from the safety of the couch so no pancake is injured during the process.

P.s. we had the most amazing sunset tonight and it really made me smile. It didn’t however look so wonderful amongst rooftops and power lines so I didn’t get any pictures. You’re just going to have to trust me that it was pretty lovely and enjoy these flowers instead.

Have a great weekend now won’t you!
