After our first night of camping, in the rain, the bottom of our bed was soaked from water seeping in through the zipper in our tiny tent. So much so that we had to strip everything off the luxe blow up mattress and throw it into the industrial dryers on site (because who doesn’t love having washing machines/dryers/full kitchen facilities when they go camping?!). Whilst our pile of linen was drying off for the day we packed into the car and went for a drive to Byron Bay Lighthouse.
It’s one of my favourite places to check out, and clearly I’m not the only one who likes it. Each visit is a parking war with a million others wanting to jump out and have a look but I don’t blame them. This time we even saw whales just off the coast which was pretty amazing by anyone’s standards.
If this beauty of a spot couldn’t get any better, promo girls were handing out free Red Bull just as we left.
